The visible oscillation of the lowest string @6:18 is quite amazing, as well as the performance. Not sure how a human being can learn such a piece on such an instrument- bravo!

I wish I could learn it, but I have terrible musical memory. I can't even learn to re-play songs I created myself in real-time. Thank goodness I was born in an era with recording equipment so I can capture their fleeting existence.

I think the instrument is one of these. Set up more like a lute.

Cool video and performance. It's also the first time I've seen a player fret notes with the thumb over the treble side of the fretboard (0:35).

I do a similar thing on my harp ukulele, but never on a high string like that. There are 4 notes that are only accessible on the lowest neck string, and if I want to reach them at the same time as the notes around the 12th fret on the highest string, the thumb is the only way. I've been trying of an elegant solution to that problem for future instruments. Due to the increasing length of the sub basses combined with the lower ones being horizontally farther away, putting frets on them wouldn't help because the physical distance to those notes would be about the same. Replacing the lowest neck string with 3 more sub basses (E,F,G) seems the most logical, but I suppose I'd have to call it a harp strumstick then :p

That organ piece was incredible and so was the organ itself. If I had seen that magnificent pipe organ when I was a child, I believe, as wierd as it sounds, it would have changed my life. Its worth watching from start to finish....

Hello Karl,
in my hometown church we had and still have an organ like that in the video. I was fascinated as a child and are still as an old man! As a 12 year old child the organ player showed me the instrument in total, everything you can do with these "music monsters". Four keyboards, bass notes played with the feet, and more than 50 register pins to choose the simulated sound of instruments.......that was much too much complicated for me! In the video you see a second person as helping hand for the registers. So I choose the trumpet as my first instrument to learn By the way....do you remember Emerson, Lake and Palmer, the rock band? Keith Emerson invented the Moog synthesizer into rock musik. He was a real virtuoso on the keyboards, and he was a famous pipe organ player in the USA!

That Classical Accordion piece was pretty remarkable. I’ve never seen an accordion like that.
